Application Requirements
FARM SITEMinimum Land Area: 1 Hectare
Location must be:
- Within an agricultural zone
- At least 1 km from the nearest residential area or from the nearest poultry farm
- Within 100km radius from the nearest SMFI operated Poultry Processing Plant
- Reliable source of electric power
- Adequate source of potable water
- All-weather road leading to and inside the farm, passable to light vehicle, 6 and 10 wheeler trucks.
- Minimum volume : 29,000 bird space
- Design specifications : East West orientation

2. Site or farm inspection
3. SMFI approval of proposed site or farm
4. Submission of letter of intent
5. Issuance of letter of commitment
6. Submission of permits
7. Construction of poultry house
8. Contract signing
9. Seminar on basic husbandry
10. Chick placement
Obligations of Contracting Parties

1. Day-old chicks
2. Broiler feeds
3. Vaccines and Medicines
4. Technical assistance
5. Laboratory services
6. Competitive payment scheme
The contract grower shall provide:
1. Land
2. Poultry houses
3. Feed bodega
4. Poultry equipment
5. Water
6. Power
7. Security
8. Labor
9. Proper farm management
